About Reiki
Reiki means Universal Energy.
Reiki was developed and taught in Japan, by Dr Mikao Usui and was over time, through different teachers, shared with the West. It is a profoundly powerful and simple system of healing. When people come to Reiki they often find that great changes occur in their lives. Many people choose just to use Reiki for self healing and as a way to connect to their true essence -others want to go on and share the healing with others.
Reiki is an energetic system and we access Universal Energy to support our own innate healing process.
In order to be able to use Reiki, people are attuned by a Reiki Master-Teacher during a workshop. This allows the student to connect with the Reiki energy and allow it to flow. Once attuned, the connection to Reiki is permanent.
Three stages to learning Reiki
Reiki 1 - clears the energy system and is used mainly for self healing although you can use it on friends and family.
Reiki 2, which teaches more advanced procedures and allows professional practice
Reiki 3 or Master / Teacher level - this is a major committment and not everyone will feel drawn to it. In fact, many people will find that they do not wish to progress further than Reiki 1
Some teachers also offer a 4th level (also known as Advanced Reiki Training) - this is for people who would like to learn more about healing and the Reiki path, but who do not wish to teach others.
Our aim for all our courses is that they be enjoyable - so we try to avoid presenting material in a 'stuffy' or complicated way. We are serious about what we do, but we try not to do it seriously! We believe in learning through laughter and we aim to make our students comfortable. We are happy to go over things as much as is needed and ensure that there is plenty of time for discussion and practice.
Learning Reiki can be a positive and life changing experience. We would feel priviledged to teach it to you.
